Stephen Hawking Gives Bizarre Warning About Alien Contact

Famed physicist Stephen Hawking warned the world that if aliens come calling, we should be wary of answering back.

“Meeting an advanced civilization could be like Native Americans encountering Columbus—that didn’t turn out so well,” Hawking said in a new video.

Though the alien quip may be an easy takeaway, Hawking’s primary focus was to convince the world that space is humanity’s only option for survival.

“I believe that life on Earth is at an ever-increasing risk of being wiped out by a disaster,” Hawking says, giving the examples of a sudden nuclear war or a genetically engineered virus.

“I think the human race has no future if it doesn’t go to space. We need to inspire the next generation to become engaged in space and in science in general, to ask questions: What will we find when we go to space? Is there alien life, or are we alone? What will a sunset on Mars look like?”

Biblically, most mentions of space deal with praising the Creator and understanding the depth of His love for us.

According to Answers in Genesis:

The Bible indicates in several places that the universe has been “stretched out” or expanded. For example, Isaiah 40:22 teaches that God stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. This would suggest that the universe has actually increased in size since its creation. God is stretching it out, causing it to expand.
Now, this verse must have seemed very strange when it was first written. The universe certainly doesn’t look as if it is expanding. After all, if you look at the night sky tonight, it will appear about the same size as it did the previous night, and the night before that.
In fact, secular scientists once believed that the universe was eternal and unchanging. The idea of an expanding universe would have been considered nonsense to most scientists of the past. So it must have been tempting for Christians to reject what the Bible teaches about the expansion of the universe.
I wonder if any Christians tried to “reinterpret” Isaiah 40:22 to read it in an unnatural way so that they wouldn’t have to believe in an expanding universe. When the secular world believes one thing and the Bible teaches another, it is always tempting to think that God got the details wrong. But God is never wrong.
Most astronomers today believe that the universe is indeed expanding. In the 1920s, astronomers discovered that virtually all clusters of galaxies appear to be moving away from all other clusters; this indicates that the entire universe is expanding.
You can think of this like points on a balloon. As the balloon is inflated, all the points move farther away from each other. If the entire universe was being stretched out, the galaxies would all be moving away; and that is what they actually appear to be doing.
It is fascinating that the Bible recorded the idea of an expanding universe thousands of years before secular science came to accept the idea.

Though the universe may be expanding, that does not mean humanity is meant to explore and conquer space.

When Christ himself talks about the end times, He deals more specifically with what Hawking says will destroy the Earth.

“So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains,” Jesus says.

“Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. Let him who is in the field not return to take his clothes. Woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse in those days! Pray that your escape will not be in the winter or on the Sabbath. For then will be great tribulation, such as has not happened since the beginning of the world until now, no, nor ever shall be.”

This Is a Strong Indication of Your Spiritual Maturity

Instead of being regretful, we need to be grateful. Instead of complaining, we need to remember that everything is a gift from God.

The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:7-8, For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you received it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? Now you are full, now you are rich; you have begun reigning as kings without us, and I wish to God you reigned, so that we also might reign with you (MEV).

Envy always asks, “Why them?” “Why does he have better health?” “Why does she have a job and a husband, and I have neither?”

Gratitude says, “Why me?” “Why do I get to drink clean water when so much of the world doesn’t?” “Why am I not under persecution? Why am I not thrown into prison for my faith?”

Envy is based on the myth that you must have more in order to be happier. It’s just not true. Happiness is a choice. If you’re not happy now, you’re not going to be happy with more. I could give many testimonies of people who have a lot more than you, and it doesn’t make them happier. You are as happy as you choose to be.

Ecclesiastes 6:9 says, Better to be content with the sight of eyes than to have a wandering appetite. This is vanity and like chasing the wind (MEV). This is called contentment. All of us need to learn contentment.

Why? Because by nature you are not a contented person. None of us are! It is not natural to be contented. It is mature to be contented. Babies are discontented. Unless everything is going their way, they’re not satisfied. Maturity is learning to be content when things are not going your way. It’s better to be satisfied with what you have than to always want something more.

Let me clarify: Envy is not desire. Desire is good. Envy is not ambition. Ambition is good. You ought to be ambitious and work for good things in your life. Envy is not a dream. You ought to have a dream in your life. Envy is not setting goals. Dreams, ambitions, goals and desires are all things that God puts in you.

Envy is resenting other people who have something already and thinking that you can’t be happy until you get it, too. Both of those are lies. Instead, learn to be grateful for who you are and what you have. Everything you have is a gift from God!

Talk It Over

  • What is something you can do today to practice gratitude?
  • When you’re tempted to resent someone because of what that person has or is, how can you turn it into gratitude? What should you say to that person?
  • Why do you think God makes happiness a choice?

Is Donald Trump the Modern-Day Lincoln or Churchill?

“It is what it is,” multitudes echo regarding the 2016 presidential election. Is it?

As three debates get underway and the clock is fast approaching the “two-minute warning” of this unprecedented presidential campaign season, should we succumb to resignation or sharpen our focus, prayerfully assess the situation and move forward in faith that God is hearing our cries and guiding us in discerning who should get our vote for president of the United States?

I choose the latter. It is not what it is; it becomes what we make it. Remember Derek Prince’s classic book, Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting?

79-year-old prophetic evangelist and seasoned Bible teacher Kenneth Copeland cautions us, “Tell my people where ever you go—those who vote for politicians knowing their immoral policies and illegal acts had better repent. They are partners with those politicians and will be responsible for every baby’s death.”

As a 40-year board member of Intercessors for America national prayer ministry, author, cultural commentator for news services and vocational minister with 44 years of experience, I’ve prayerfully and thoughtfully made my decision. I don’t speak for any church or ministry; I simply share my perspective to hopefully help others who are in a quandary and still searching for answers.

Approaching the Homestretch

For over a year we’ve watched our political process bring us to this point. President Obama, for whom I’ve prayed every single day, will leave office. I respectfully opine that he will go down as one of the most-liked presidents (because of the emotional and historic nature of being the first black in office), yet one of our worst chief executives because of the polarization and devastation he leaves upon his departure. Now the time has come for the mantle to be passed on to a new commander-in-chief.

Both presidential candidates stand before us on the stage, personalities and flaws notwithstanding. We basically have two choices and must choose one. You may want filet mignon in a restaurant but if your server says they’re out, it’s either ribeye or hamburger. Which will you choose?

There is no perfect political candidate. There’s only one who fits that description. On our front lawn we have a red, white and blue campaign sign that says in bold letters “Elect Jesus” (I’m not kidding)—but He’s not running!

Decision magazine’s cover shows both candidates facing off saying they represent two visions for America. That’s an understatement! Charisma magazine features the Republican presidential and vice-presidential candidates and asks, “Can They Make America Great Again?”

Peggy Noonan wrote in the Wall Street Journal that this is “The Year of the Reticent Voter” (9/25/16). “Every four years I ask people if they’ll vote, and if they have a sense of how. Every four years they tell me—assertively or shyly, confidently or tentatively. This year is different. I’ve never seen people so nervous to answer. It’s so unlike America, this reticence, even defensiveness. It’s as if there’s a feeling that to declare who you’re for is to invite others to inspect your soul.”

Peggy continued, “The most arresting sentence of the week came from a sophisticated man friendly with all sides. I asked if he knows what he’ll do in November. ‘I know exactly,’ he said with some spirit. ‘I will be one of the 40 million who will deny, the day after the election, that they voted for him [Trump]. But I will.’ “

We’ve Prayed and God Guided

My wife and I won’t deny where God has led us. Donald Trump—political outsider, blunt New Yorker, tough businessman and politically incorrect entrepreneur—has our support. We’ve prayed, fasted, listened, counseled and watched all the candidates closely since last July when we were in Cleveland for the first Republican debate.

Months ago, I travelled to New York to be part of a thousand leaders who gathered to listen and interact with him. It was a very positive experience for the overwhelming majority who attended. I gave my analysis in my regular “Here’s the Deal” commentary.

Days ago we returned from Cleveland where, in a church in the morning, over 700 leaders (about 200 were African-Americans) heard the GOP presidential nominee, his running mate Gov. Mike Pence, Dr. Ben Carson and an amazingly articulate Don King.

In the evening, at another church, I equipped a hundred leaders with the Bullseye Challenge in preparation for the coming election.

Days ago I applauded Senator Ted Cruz’s endorsement of Donald Trump (Ted was my first choice) because he demonstrated true humility in seeking counsel, praying earnestly and honoring his commitment made in the primaries to support the Republican candidate. My prayer is that all 18 Republican candidates who made this pledge will be people of their word and get behind the Trump/Pence ticket.

I’ve watched Donald Trump’s transformation, especially over the past few months, because of his association with Mike Pence—an exemplary Christian statesman—and senior leaders like Franklin Graham, Dr. James Dobson, James Robison, Ben Carson, Tony Perkins and brilliant strategists of the Heritage Foundation.

Mr. Trump may not have convinced all in the Christian community but I appeal with my friend Lance Wallnau: “In their period of time, neither Winston Churchill nor Abraham Lincoln was the darling of revivalists or evangelicals.”

The Alternative is Hillary Clinton

The prophet Jeremiah saw the moral decay of his day as we see today and he asked, “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots?” He went on to address those “who are accustomed to doing evil” (Jer. 13:23).

I once had a secretarial assistant who knew the Clintons, especially Bill, up close in Arkansas. The first-hand report was not good. When I cautioned her about believing gossip, she communicated emphatically that she knew what she was speaking of from her time working there in Arkansas.

For over 30 years, we’ve watched the ongoing scandals and corrupt activity of Bill and Hillary Clinton. I believe they are “accustomed to doing evil.” Apart from a genuine conversion experience, the “leopard can’t change his spots.” I for one don’t want this unrighteousness back in the Oval Office.

Back in 2008, then-candidate Barack Obama said these words about Mrs. Clinton: “She will say anything and change nothing. Hillary can’t be trusted and isn’t qualified to be president.” Of course, now with his legacy at stake, he’s conveniently changed his tune, even implying it would be insult to him if she were not elected!

7 Consequences of Clinton as Commander-in-Chief

1. Abortion will become casual, commonplace and covered by tax dollars. Her party platform is committed to repealing the long-standing Hyde Amendment, forbidding taxpayer funding of abortion.

2. She’ll appoint up to three liberal Supreme Court Justices, negatively impacting America for decades. This affects sanctity of life, sanctity of marriage, religious liberties, gun control and beyond.

3. Her misguided, reckless, socialistic spending will likely collapse our fragile economy with our $20 trillion debt.

4. She will dramatically exacerbate the threat to our national security and immigration problem via amnesty, open borders, full work permits, full benefits leading to voting rights, support for “sanctuary cities” and 500% increase in Syrian refugees.

5. Her track record of dishonesty, deceit and scandals will further erode America’s moral character at a time when we desperately need a spiritual turnaround.

6. She will facilitate legalization of drugs in line with the official platform of her party: “We encourage the federal government to remove marijuana from its list as a Class 1 Federal Controlled Substance, providing a reasoned pathway for future legalization.”

7. She will continue to make reckless decisions with Bill to enrich themselves due to a perceived obsession with accumulating power and wealth.

The majority of Americans don’t trust Hillary and view her as dishonest. Her and Bill’s financial disclosure for 2001–12 was $136.5 million; their Clinton Foundation continues under scrutiny because of suspicious activity when Hillary was secretary of state. She’s lived in mansions and has been chauffeured in limousines most of her life. She hasn’t driven a car in over 20 years.

Her track record is riddled with scandals and cover-ups for decades. She’s calculating, temperamental, ruthless, manipulative and struggles with numerous, concealed health problems.

Hillary did her college thesis on the radical socialist, Saul Alinsky, one of Barack Obama’s heroes, whose book Rules for Radicals was dedicated to Lucifer. It promotes manipulating the masses to achieve goals.

Just as San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, has now become the most disliked player in the NFL as people have observed him, the more people see and hear Clinton up close, the more they’ll dislike her behind the cleverly crafted image.

Donald Trumps Hillary

With Trump, what you see is what you get. And over the past months there has been a noticeable transformation in his demeanor and behavior. Could it be our prayers are being answered for a more righteous leader in this time of civilization and moral crisis?

John F. Kennedy once said, “Mothers want all their sons to be president, but they don’t want them to become politicians in the process.” Being brutally honest, Hillary has become not only that politician, but a very corrupt one who could once again occupy the White House.

Donald Trump is not your typical career politician! He believes America is capable of so much more. The needless suffering we’ve been experiencing is unnecessary and can be changed if we turn back to God and our Founders’ vision of opportunity for all.

Here’s the deal: I could never pull the lever for Hillary Clinton and what she and her dangerously “progressive” and increasingly socialistic party have tragically become. Come November 8, I can in faith cast my vote for Mr. Trump, as I continue to pray for God to be merciful and bless these United States of America.

Wonder What Pope Francis Thinks of Tim Kaine?

Prior to Senator Tim Kaine’s selection as Hillary Clinton’s running mate, faith was not a subject the Democratic Party boasted much about. Yet, within minutes of the campaign’s announcement, Sen. Kaine’s faith “resume” was broadcast around the world. With his Jesuit training and missionary stint in Latin America emanating out of the Clinton campaign like a sign from heaven, a veritable halo fell down upon him.

Soon, it was as if there was a mass party conversion at the DNC convention. A gospel choir even kicked off the whole affair—literally! Afternoon and evening sessions were opened and closed in prayers that sounded more like sermons.

Virginia Rep. Bobby Scott invoked the famous exhortation of Micah 6:8 as he introduced Sen. Kaine as the vice presidential nominee:

“The Bible calls us to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly. There are few people who live out that creed as fully and completely as Tim Kaine.”

For the Democratic Party, salvation had arrived—or so it seemed—when it was politically helpful. It’s been the case since.

The media’s consensus has been that Senator Kaine was a sensible, albeit “safe,” choice for VP, and at first blush, it’s easy to agree with their conclusion. Kaine—a moderate, white Catholic male from a Southern state—checks off a lot of boxes for Secretary Clinton as she attempts to woo voters in the Rust Belt.

They’re playing politics, as politicians do.

While I would never question the sincerity of Sen. Kaine’s faith, it does strike me as highly suspicious that the Democratic Party has suddenly found God after endorsing an astonishing series of executive, judicial and legislative actions that recently prompted Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of Los Angeles’ Simon Wiesenthal Center, to note, “Today, hundreds of millions of minority Baha’i, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims—but chiefly Christians—have no confidence that American power or policy have their backs.”

As a Christian, I celebrate when people give their lives and hearts to Christ; and yet it’s difficult not to interpret the Democrats’ sudden salvation as anything other than political theater. If Sen. Kaine—a Roman Catholic like many in my Hispanic community—does indeed intend to leverage his Christian faith as part of the Democratic platform, I must then ask him to answer two simple questions, directly:

  1. Will he support the appointment of originalist Supreme Court justices who would preserve the religious liberty of evangelicals and Catholics in this country?
  2. Does he believe that life starts at conception and will his policy priorities reflect that conviction?

The answers to these foundational questions strike at the heart of a believer’s worldview—and his politics. They are the surest sign of whether Sen. Kaine’s Catholicism aligns itself with the majority view of almost all Catholic and evangelical Hispanics. Nothing is more important to us than our faith and our families, not even immigration reform.

In Mr. Kaine’s case, it’s extremely telling that he received a perfect score from Planned Parenthood while receiving a zero from the anti-abortion Right to Life Committee. This is an issue where Christians of all traditions find common ground.

Shouldn’t we be able to expect Sen. Kaine to reasonably disagree with his own party on at least this one Catholic issue? It appears not. In fact, Sen. Kaine has gone on record stating he is a “strong defender of Roe v. Wade.

There are many more legislative issues we could discuss including marriage, families and adoption, but his stance on abortion alone raises serious questions about Sen. Kaine’s ability and or willingness to translate his faith into policy. Sen. Kaine has said, “My faith is central to everything I do,” and yet this position is clearly contrary to well-established Catholic teachings, positions adamantly held by Pope Francis, who, like Kaine, is also a Jesuit. It all reminds me of words written by James in the Bible: “faith without works is dead.

If the Clinton campaign insists on using Mr. Kaine’s faith as a political asset, I respectfully ask that the Senator address these questions head on. Though, I think I already know his answers. {eoa}

Why You Should Teach Your Children to Stand Up to You

Early in life it became clear that my little girl, Bethany, loved pleasing people. If what she wanted was not what others wanted, she’d give in to the energy of whomever it was she was eager to please.

This is a great trait when obedience to a parent was the issue, but not so great when it came to standing up for herself on the playground. For a short season, I would figuratively pat myself on the back whenever Bethany quickly and willingly did what I asked. What a great parent I was! Or not.

Maybe the way kids respond to our parenting is not as much about our great—or not so great—parenting as it is about the combination of their personality, developmental stage and, in Bethany’s case, fear of disappointing.

As I thought more deeply about it, I realized that in order to keep the peace and please people, Bethany would say yes to things that it might be best for her to say no to. For example, her grandma used to love to give Bethany a big kiss every time she saw her. Not just any kiss, but a big sloppy wet kiss.

I knew that Bethany hated how this felt, but that she was more interested in pleasing Gramma than in standing up for herself. So she’d let Gramma kiss her, and then get anxious every time it was time to visit Gramma.

At first I didn’t think it was a significant issue. But as I looked into her future it occurred to me that the sooner Bethany learned to stand up for herself when appropriate, the stronger she would be to set good boundaries for herself as she grew up. So, I invented the “not the way it works” game.

The inspiration for the game came from Gramma, who before kissing 5-year-old Bethany would say, “If you love me, you’ll give me a big kiss!” See what she did there? Of course, Bethany wanted no part of not loving Gramma, so she’d oblige, even though she didn’t like the kiss. Imagine how this could play out over time with others—particularly with young men. Not that any young man would ever use that phrase on my precious offspring—but just in case—the “not the way it works” game was born.

It started out simply enough. “Bethany,” I’d say from the comfort of my recliner, “If you love me, you’ll go get me a blanket.” She’d bring the blanket and then I’d say, “Good. Now, if you love me, you’ll give me a big kiss!” and I’d pucker up. I could see the discomfort of her tension, wanting to please, but not wanting my spit on her face. Just as she reluctantly turned my way I’d say, “Bethany. It’s OK to say no to this if you don’t want a kiss because you can love me but not kiss me. So give it a try.”

It was hard for her at first, so I kept coaching her, several times a week, to say, “I love you daddy, but that’s not the way it works!” I did it with fetching slippers, or scratching my back. Little by little she became more comfortable saying no.

The big test came when it was time to go to Gramma’s. I worked with Bethany to respectfully let Gramma know that she was loved, but that Bethany didn’t want a kiss. Bethany practiced, “I love you Gramma, but that’s not the way it works. Can we just hug instead?” We high-fived!

When it was time Bethany followed the script perfectly. Gramma seemed hurt and later asked, why won’t Bethany kiss me? I encouraged her to ask Bethany directly, which she did. Bethany responded, “I don’t like lip kisses. I just like hugs.” That seemed good enough for Gramma and has never been an issue since, and Bethany stopped being anxious about going to Gramma’s.

Over the years, I have played the “If you love me” game less frequently. Even into her 20s, I’d play it once in a while as a throwback, and Bethany still answers with confidence, “That’s not the way it works!” The best news is that when pressed by young men to do things she’d rather not do she gives the same answer—with confidence.

I realize in the writing of this that there is a fine line between obeying parents and being manipulated by parents. Using this strategy over the years helped me better define that line and stay respectful not just of Bethany but also of all three of my kids when making parental requests.

Today, Bethany has a healthy view of authority and sets good boundaries for herself in relationships of all kinds.

She’d tell you today that she still struggles a bit with people pleasing, but that it’s never gotten her in any regrettable trouble. And she’ll also tell that Lynne and I both helped her learn what love without strings is all about, and she’s now making great relationships choices as she forges her way through life. {eoa}

Trump to Netanyahu: I Will Recognize Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel

U.S. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Sunday told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that if elected, the United States would recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the campaign said, marking a potential dramatic shift in U.S. policy.

During the meeting that lasted more than an hour at Trump Tower in New York, Trump told Netanyahu that under his administration, the United States would “recognize Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the State of Israel.”

While Israel calls Jerusalem its capital, few other countries accept that, including the United States. Most nations maintain embassies in Tel Aviv.

Palestinians want East Jerusalem, captured by Israel in a 1967 war, as capital of the state they aim to establish alongside Israel in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu held a separate meeting later on Sunday that lasted just under an hour with Democrat Hillary Clinton, Trump’s rival in the Nov. 8 U.S. election.

Clinton emphasized her commitment to the relationship and her plan to take the relationship to the next level, according to a statement from her campaign.

She also talked about her commitment to a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict “that guarantees Israel’s future as a secure and democratic Jewish state with recognized borders and provides the Palestinians with independence, sovereignty, and dignity,” according to the statement.

“Secretary Clinton reaffirmed her opposition to any attempt by outside parties to impose a solution, including by the U.N. Security Council,” the statement said.

During the meeting with Trump, the Republican candidate’s campaign said he agreed with Netanyahu that peace in the Middle East could only be achieved when “the Palestinians renounce hatred and violence and accept Israel as a Jewish State.”

The Trump campaign said he and Netanyahu discussed “at length” Israel’s border fence, cited by Trump in reference to his own controversial immigration policies, which include building a wall on the U.S.- Mexico border and temporarily banning Muslims from entering the country.

Other regional issues, including the fight against Islamic State, U.S. military assistance to Israel – “an excellent investment” – and the Iran nuclear deal, which both parties have criticized, were also discussed. {eoa}

Police Shoot Houston Attacker Dead After He Wounds 9

A troubled lawyer opened fire on morning commuters in Houston on Monday, injuring at least nine people before being fatally shot by police, authorities said.

Six victims were taken to hospitals and three were treated at the scene after being shot at while inside their vehicles in the wealthy neighborhood of West University Place, acting HoustonPolice Chief Martha Montalvo told reporters.

One of the victims was in critical condition and another was in serious condition.

Montalvo declined to identify the suspect but said he was a lawyer and had concerns about his law firm. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, in Cuba on a trip to develop trade relations, told reporters, “The motivation appears to be a lawyer whose relationship with his law firm went bad.”

The police bomb squad was securing the suspect’s car, which had numerous weapons in it and police were planning to search his house.

Broken glass from shattered car windows littered a parking lot in an upscale shopping center near where the suspect fired 20 to 30 shots.

An unidentified woman, standing next to a car with two bullet holes in the windshield, told a local television station she heard “the bullets literally whiz by my window.”

Live video streams showed numerous police cars and ambulances in the area. There were also a few vehicles seen with bullet holes. {eoa}

Donald Trump: My Campaign Is Taking on the ‘Big 3’

During a speech Saturday in the key battleground state of Virginia, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said his campaign is waging a war against the “Big Three” of American politics:

“Our campaign is about breaking up the special interest monopoly in Washington, D.C.,” he said. “We’re trying to disrupt the collusion between the wealthy donors, the large corporations and the media executives. They’re all part of the same political establishment.”

After noting a new Rasmussen poll that had him leading by five points, Trump pledged to “replace our failed and corrupt establishment with a new government that serves you, your family and your country.” He then spoke about his economic plan and how it will spur job creation.

He also went over his “public safety” agenda, his plans to “repeal and replace” ObamaCare, and his education initiatives, taking swipes at Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s distinctly different agenda. He also noted the grand opening, earlier in the day, of the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture.

“We congratulate and honor those involved with the project, and recognize today the incredible contributions of the African-American community to this nation,” he said. “African-Americans have given so much to this nation and sacrificed so much for this nation.

“Many African-Americans are succeeding so greatly in our country, and I will make sure their success is protected and supported. At the same time, too many African-Americans have been left behind and trapped in poverty. I will fight to make sure every single African-American child in this country is fully included in the American Dream.”

Trump said “fixing things” is what he has been doing most of his life, pointing to his New York City projects where he “turned rundown spaces into new centers of business, activity and opportunity.” Where others saw only problems, he said he saw only potential, turning empty lots into homes, offices, and “living memories for thousands of workers and families.”

“That’s what I want to do for our country,” he added. “I want to go into the neglected neighborhoods, the failing schools, the forgotten stretches of this nation, and unlock their potential for all of our people. I’ve made a living for years looking at unused spaces and imagining what they could be. Politicians look at blighted neighborhoods and offer only excuses—I look at those same neighborhoods and offer solutions.

“We spend so much time thinking about how things used to be, we’ve stopped thinking about how great things could be—all we have to do is tune out the doubters, the cynics and the naysayers. We are a nation of strivers, dreamers and believers—and that’s the spirit that will carry us to victory in November, and to great victories as a nation.”

But, it’s going to take a lot of work in the final six weeks of the campaign. Trump urged his supporters to take to their neighborhoods and help encourage others to support his candidacy.

“You have to knock on doors,” he said. “You have to pick up that phone. Go to our website to learn more. You have to campaign on the streets. Spread the love that we have in this room to the people of our country.

“To beat the system, you have to lift your voice, pound the pavement and get out the vote. You have 44 days until the big vote. You have 44 days to make possible every dream you ever dreamed of for your country.

“You have one magnificent chance to deliver justice for every forgotten man, woman and child in this nation. The arrogance of Washington, D.C., will soon come face to face with the righteous verdict of the American voter.”

What They Don’t Want You to Know About the Charlotte Riots

Revelation in the News invited a former chief of police to reveal what’s fueling the Charlotte riots.

Last week, a black police officer reportedly shot an armed black man who refused to put down his weapon. Now, the city is approaching day seven of protests as residents and police clash.

Protesters have thrown rocks at drivers, attacked reporters, looted stores and much more.

“We out here like the Taliban,” some claimed, host Zach Drew says.

But there’s more to the story. Watch the video to see what former Chief of Police Darren Parker reveals.

Healing Negative Emotions the Biblical Way

Once there was a girl who was talented, pretty and smart. But she had a bad temper.

When she became angry, she said and did hurtful things. Her father became concerned about her and decided to teach her a lesson.

He gave the girl a bag of nails and a hammer.

“Whenever you lose your temper, go out back to that old fence,” he told her. “Take one of the nails and hammer it into the fence as hard as you can. Hold nothing back.”

Over the next few weeks, the girl did what her father asked. Eventually, all the nails were gone.

“Now, pull out one of the nails,” her father said. The girl did it.

The father then said gently, “Even though the nail is gone now, there is a hole left behind. You can patch it, but this fence will never be the same. That is what you do to others when you say or do hurtful things. You always leave a hole, no matter how many times you say you are sorry.”

Many Christians have “holes” left behind from past hurts. If you don’t allow God to heal them, they can impact your ability to love others and have a healthy relationship with yourself.

To help you manage your emotions and avoid creating “holes” in others, please read my e-book, Psalm Therapy: Healing Negative Emotions God’s Way.
