New Research Indicates Life on Mars a Possibility

Scientists analyzing data from a NASA spacecraft have found the first evidence that briny water flowed on the surface of Mars as recently as last summer, a paper published on Monday showed, raising the possibility that the planet could support life.

Although the source and the chemistry of the water is unknown, the discovery will change scientists’ thinking about whether the planet that is most like Earth in the solar system could support present day microbial life.

“It suggests that it would be possible for life to be on Mars today,” John Grunsfeld, NASA’s associate administration for science, told reporters.

“Mars is not the dry, arid planet that we thought of in the past. Under certain circumstances, liquid water has been found on Mars,” said Jim Green, the agency’s director of planetary science.

The discovery was made when scientists developed a new technique to analyze chemical maps of the surface of Mars obtained by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft.

They found telltale fingerprints of salts that form only in the presence of water in narrow channels cut into cliff walls throughout the planet’s equatorial region.

The slopes, first reported in 2011, appear during the warm summer months on Mars, then vanish when the temperatures drop.

Scientists suspected the streaks, known as recurring slope lineae, or RSL, were cut by flowing water, but previously had been unable to make the measurements.

“I thought there was no hope,” Lujendra Ojha, a graduate student at Georgia Institute of Technology and lead author of a paper in this week’s issue of the journal Nature Geoscience, told Reuters.

Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter makes its measurements during the hottest part of the Martian day, so scientists believed any traces of water, or fingerprints from hydrated minerals, would have evaporated.

Also, the chemical-sensing instrument on the orbiting spacecraft cannot home in on details as small as the narrow streaks, which typically are less than 16 feet (5 meters) wide.

But Ojha and colleagues created a computer program that could scrutinize individual pixels. That data was then correlated with high-resolution images of the streaks. Scientists concentrated on the widest streaks and came up with a 100 percent match between their locations and detections of hydrated salts.

The discovery “confirms that water is playing a role in these features,” said planetary scientist Alfred McEwen, with the University of Arizona. “We don’t know that it’s coming from the subsurface. It could come from the atmosphere.”

Whatever the water’s source, the prospect of liquid water, even seasonally, raises the intriguing prospect that Mars, which is presumed to be a cold and dead planet, could support life today.

However, McEwen said much more information about the water’s chemistry would be needed before scientists could make that assessment.

“It’s not necessarily habitable just because it’s water – at least to terrestrial organisms,” he said.

The evidence that there was water on the planet recently was the key finding in the study released on Monday. NASA’s ongoing Mars rover Curiosity has already found evidence that Mars had all the ingredients and suitable habitats for microbial life to exist at some point in its past.

Scientists have been trying to figure out how it transformed from a warm, wet and likely Earth-like planet early in its history into the cold, dry desert that exists today.

Billions of years ago, Mars, which lacks a protective, global magnetic field, lost much of its atmosphere. Several initiatives are under way to determine how much of the planet’s water was stripped away and how much remains locked in ice in underground reservoirs. {eoa}

I Was Just Kidding

Cynical leaders don’t last long.

The word cynic began to be used around 1600 in reference to ancient philosophers who could only offer sneering sarcasm as a philosophy of life. It seems to me, the foundation of a cynic’s life is the absence of belief in anything. It’s much easier to sneer and scoff in the absence of a belief system.

The apostle Paul exhorted the Corinthians to understand that love “bears all things and believes all things.” His teaching must have been hard on the ears considering the Corinthian lifestyle. At the time of Paul’s letter, the Corinthians were noted for being selfish and riddled with every type of perversion.

It isn’t difficult to develop a spirit of cynicism. Leaders are often disappointed by people. There are many hurts, attacks and loyalty losses that contribute to a cynic’s philosophy.

Sometimes, the fiercest enemy of a leader is a good memory.

One of my favorite Proverbs is “Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended” (Prov. 22:10, NIV).

“Driving out” the mocker is more difficult than “Driving Miss Daisy.” I read this verse as something I must first do within me. Yet, not I, but the Spirit of God which dwells within me must do the driving. I want any spirit of mocking and blocking to be driven out of me.

A sharp wit and the tongue which accompanies it aren’t to be used as weapons.

An effective leader’s love never fails.

“… For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. …”  (Matt. 12:34-35).

Bible Prophecy Experts Share What You Need to Know About UN’s Agenda 2030

As Pope Francis addressed the United Nations, the gathered representatives inked a new “universal agenda for humanity.”

Agenda 2030 “is a plan of action for people, planet and prosperity,” according to the UN’s sustainable development goals website. “It also seeks to strengthen universal peace in larger freedom.”

For Bible prophecy scholars, key phrases in the agenda raise red flags.

“They are saying they are going to transform the world by 2030,” Michael Snyder of the Economic Collapse blog says. “It’s a template for global governance.”

A one-world government system was foretold in Revelation 13. Is this time upon us? Watch the video to see.

Presidential Candidates Speak Out Against Planned Parenthood, Call for Defense of Unborn Lives at Values Voter Summit

Thousands of Christian conservatives gathered in Washington, D.C., over the past three days, as presidential candidates sought their grass-roots support for the 2016 election. Late Saturday, Sen. Ted Cruz won the straw poll of attendees at this 10th annual Values Voter Summit with three other candidates also in double digits.

While the straw poll indicates a measure of evangelical support, these results are far from the only newsworthy aspect of the summit. On Friday, as the summit was carried live on several national TV networks, social media trends indicated the event as one of the nation’s most-discussed topics.

Many candidates—including Sen. Marco Rubio, Cruz, Gov. Mike Huckabee, former Sen. Rick Santorum and Gov. Bobby Jindal—delivered their most comprehensive remarks to date on the sanctity of human life, forcefully calling for the federal government to cut off all taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood.

The attention on Planned Parenthood comes in the wake of an undercover video investigation by the Center for Medical Progress. Since July, the group has released 10 short videos online (as well as complete unedited footage) purporting to show illegal activity taking place at the nation’s largest provider of abortion services. The center’s founder, 26-year-old citizen journalist David Daleiden, also spoke at the summit.

Two candidates, Ben Carson and Donald Trump, addressed the summit though centered their remarks on foreign policy and cultural issues without addressing pro-life concerns.

FRC Action noted that all other candidates were invited—notably former Governor Jeb Bush, Governor Chris Christie and Carly Fiorina, who continue to perform well in national polls—yet declined to attend.

The first of many candidates to address these more than 2,600 influential activists, Sen. Marco Rubio took the opportunity to announce a breaking news story happening only miles away in the United States Congress.

“Just a few minutes ago, Speaker John Boehner annoucned that he will be resigning,” said Rubio. The large crowd of pro-life advocates erupted in thunderous cheering. Rubio continued, “The time has come to turn the page and allow a new generation of leadership in this country.”

Over the coming days and weeks, many high-level meetings among U.S. House leadership are expected to determine how the principal positions in Congress will shift—ultimately, to be voted on by all 435 Representatives in the House.

Tony Perkins, president of Family Research Council Action, which hosts the annual summit, offered his take on why this shift matters to the pro-life movement. He stated, “American voters who put the Republican Party into the majority have grown weary of GOP leaders running into these political battles waving a white flag.

“If Republicans will not fight to end taxpayer funding for an organization that is trafficking in baby body parts, and possibly infanticide, what will they fight for?” Perkins asked. “We welcome Republican leadership that understands that some values, like life, religious liberty and national defense are worth fighting for—no matter what.”

Sen. Rubio addressed the current pro-life initiative Congress has been grappling with, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act which bans abortions after a pre-born baby’s 20th week of development, as well as the Planned Parenthood scandal.

“By the year 2020, I hope we will be able to say that abortions after 20 weeks are illegal, that no taxpayer money is used to fund abortions here or abroad, and that Planned Parenthood doesn’t receive a penny from the federal government,” said Rubio.

While many pro-life members of Congress have echoed Perkins’ call to attempt to defund Planned Parenthood using every available legislative means, some voices even at Values Voter Summit expressed doubts on the feasibility of this strategy.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, lead sponsor of the Pain-Capable bill, noted defunding Planned Parenthood only in a future context rather than as a present battle.

He said during his Saturday morning speech, “I see a day when Planned Parenthood is defunded, and it goes like this: The House defunds Planned Parenthood, the Senate defunds Planned Parenthood, and the president of the United States signs a bill that would defund Planned Parenthood.”

Soon after Rubio, Cruz took the stage in all his Texas swagger. He elicited much applause as he outlined what he would do on his “first day in office.”

Cruz said he will “instruct the Department of Justice to open an investigation into Planned Parenthood—and to prosecute any and all criminal conduct by that organization.”

Other candidates continued this theme. During his remarks, former Sen. Rick Santorum recounted a recent CNN interview, where they discussed how Planned Parenthood has been breaking the law—specifically, a law Santorum himself was involved in crafting when he served in the U.S. Senate.

Santorum, whose daughter Bella was born with Trisomy 18, which can cause severe developmental difficulties, summed up his stance on the worth of every life: “We have been fighting these battles, I have been standing in the forefront for year after year after year fighting the battles on life.”

Another stalwart conservative leader, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee emphasized his track record in state politics—both as an outsider to Washington, and one who had faced down the “Clinton machine.”

He minced no words regarding his pro-life stance. “For 42 years, we have lived under the notion that it is a human right and privilege to take the life of an unborn child,” said Huckabee.

“Since it is a human being (in the womb), we already have the constitutional protection,” he stated. “It’s called the Fifth Amendment, which says there will be due process before you deprive a person of life or liberty.”

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal shared his own personal story related to the abortion issue: “I’ll tell you what we did in Louisiana, he began. We’re not just talking about defunding Planned Parenthood.”

“When that first video came out, we launched an investigation with the FBI. Then the other videos came out. We canceled their Medicaid contract, so they’re getting no taxpayer dollars in the state of Louisiana,” said Governor Jindal.

“They didn’t like that. They decided to come protest at my house in Baton Rouge,” Jindal continued. “Now, they’ve got a constitutional right to do that, but we’re Southerners. We like to provide hospitality. We put big projection screens and cameras out there, and I showed those Planned Parenthood videos over and over and over.”

Aside from the candidates, other leading voices in public policy spoke with conviction on pro-life issues. Previous presidential contender Sen. John McCain opened the summit, staunchly defending the value of every life. “Our greatest moral obligation is to oppose the taking of innocent life,” said McCain. “The right to life is the most sacred of all. No other rights exist without it.”

Pro-life leaders Ryan Bomberger of the Radiance Foundation and Star Parker of the Center for Urban Renewal and Education used their personal stories as backdrops for exploring why the cause of life is gaining such traction among millennials.

Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, focused her comments on why her organization pursues undercover investigations of Planned Parenthood. She said: “This is a war. There are real victims; there are people who are dying. Over 3,000 children are being killed every day in this country, and mothers are being lied to.”

“When that’s being covered up, and it’s being funded by the government—over half a billion dollars per year—and no one is exposing it,” said Rose. “We are going there to try to bring justice to the oppressed. We expose evil and uplift the truth.”

As the three-day summit wrapped up, the next flashpoint over values issues came into view. A conflict over the continuing resolution looms large in Congress—specifically, whether it will include funding for Planned Parenthood.

Such a weighty issue demands specifics from presidential candidates, as conservative voters consider who will boldly raise their voice for the voiceless. {eoa}

Pop Star Ciara Is Teaching 1-Year-Old Son to Praise Jesus

Ciara, pop singer of hits such as “Goodies” and “1, 2 Step” from 2004, has spoken out recently about teaching her 15-month-old son, Future, to praise Jesus.

“The other day we were saying, ‘Thank you, Jesus’ and I would say, ‘Say, thank you!’ And he would say, ‘Tank you!’ I’d say, ‘Je-sus’ and he’d say, ‘Yee-yus,'” the singer told People about her son. “It is so sweet!”

Ciara, who shares her son with former boyfriend Future, a rapper, says her son is going through a developmental stage in which he repeats everything he hears.

“He’s like a parrot now. He’s in the parrot stage so he [copies] everything you say— which you have to be careful with!” she told People.

Earlier this year, the 29-year-old generated media buzz when she and her boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, shared publicly that their relationship is celibate.

Wilson, 26, has made it undeniably clear on social media that he is a Christian. He has often tweeted Bible verses and identified himself as a “Jesus follower” who is “too blessed to be stressed” and “too anointed to be disappointed.”

Conversely, Ciara is not known to publicly discuss her faith. However, recently she seems to have adopted Wilson’s habit of occasionally tweeting Bible verses. For example, she tweeted, “Write the Vision, Make it Plain, Habakkuk 2:2,” over the summer. Just one week ago, she tweeted, “God Is Soooo Good!”

Though her son is just over a year old, Ciara is already thinking about his adult future. Though she isn’t considering that he will become an entertainer, she insists that she’ll support him in whatever profession he decides to pursue.

“I’ll support him with whatever his heart desires as long as it’s something positive and productive. My mom was hesitant about me being in music, but she gave me room to figure it out. It’s important to allow your kids to pursue their dreams,” she told the British newspaper Metro.

“You don’t want someone to wish they could have achieved something but were forced to do something else. But, show business is a tough world. Ideally I wouldn’t want him to do it, but if his heart desires it then I’ll support him.”

Along with tweeting Bible verses, Ciara has also talked about her son being a gift from God.

“Honestly, I feel like everything in life happens for a reason, and my son has been the greatest gift that God has given me in my life and been the most game-changing thing that’s happened to my life, in a necessary way,” she said on Power 105.1 FM’s syndicated radio show, The Breakfast Club, earlier this year.

While, like all parents, the singer confesses that having a child isn’t always a walk in the park, she spoke about the importance of finding a balance in life to enjoy being a parent.

“It’s really all about balance, scheduling things, and mapping out your day, so you don’t feel overwhelmed. It is a lot of work having a child, but it really boils down to balance at the end of the day,” she previously told Refinery 29.  “You should really enjoy the process and trust the process of having a child while you’re juggling everything. It can really be fun if you look at things in a positive and exciting way. Be excited about the whole challenge of it all.”

Ciara told Page Six that she’s in a good place in life and relying on God to determine her future, including any possible marriage plans with Wilson.

“God knows everything that’s to come in the future, and I think it’s best to let Him keep taking control of things. Life is sweet, and I’m very thankful for all the great things happening in my life. I’m very happy.”

We applaud Ciara for choosing to “train up a child in the way he should go,” as the wise King Solomon wrote in Proverbs, and pray she will continue to draw closer to the Lord and unapologetically proclaim her faith. {eoa}

Economics, According to King David

King David was one of the most popular and powerful kings of ancient Israel. During his reign of 40 years, he brought unity to a divided nation and established Jerusalem as the mightiest capital of the ancient world. He was a soldier king who made his coffers rich by conquest as was the custom of oriental potentates of that day. Yet, we have a hint in his 144th psalm that he disliked the ways of battle and longed for the sound economy of a healthy agricultural prosperity. “Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, and our daughters like cornerstones, cut in the similitude of a palace, that our granaries may be full, providing all manner of produce, that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields, and may our cattle be strong in labor. May there be no breaking in or going out, and no wailing in our streets. Blessed are the people who have such things; indeed, blessed are the people whose God is the Lord” (Ps. 144:11-15).

In spite of the riches he accumulated, we see a healthy lack of the materialistic philosophy that delights in things that money can buy. Psalm 62:10 gives this advice: “If riches increase, set not your heart on them.”

But it is in Psalm 128:2 that we discover a rare gem. I call it a “gem” because, like so many truths in the Bible, you have to pick them up, polish them, and give them a proper setting before they become valuable to you.

Here is the quotation: “For you shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you will be happy, and it shall be well with you.”

Shall we begin the polishing process?

To labor with “your hands” is a figure of speech, for we know that it is possible to work with our feet, our tongues, our brains, or with other parts of our body. But “hands” are personal things. The words show that it is our own labor that is intended and not another’s.

“Labor” is work—accomplishment as a result of energy expended. This must mean constructive, creative or helpful work. It is unthinkable that the Bible would advocate work that is detrimental to one’s fellow man. Therefore, any work that one is able to do that does not injure society is acceptable. We realize that it is possible to accumulate energy in the form of capital or tools that enable one to work more effectively than he could otherwise. But it is still the labor of our “hands” in that it took creative energy on our part to administer it or to put it to use after it was stored up. The gem is beginning to shine.

The next facet we work on is that word “fruit.” The fruit of our labor is the net result of the labor of our hands. If I am a farmer, the fruit may be literal fruit that is good to eat. But what difference is it if I eat it or trade it for another kind of fruit? Or perhaps I might sell it and buy another kind of fruit from my neighbor, a kind that I might not have the ability to grow and yet a kind that I need and want very much.

These other fruits that I might want could be pieces of art, the fruit of labor of the artist; or instruction, the fruit of labor of the teacher; or administration, the fruit of those with organizational and leadership ability. These fruits could be listed ad infinitum, a tremendous storehouse or granary to hold the many fruits of labor of mankind—a lovely facet of our jewel.

The word “eat” is the next facet to tackle.

It is necessary for me to eat in order to live. The plan in the quotation unfolds: work, reap fruit, eat and live. It is a workable circle that perpetuates itself. It is life itself in its barest outline. If I don’t work, I will not reap, I will not eat and soon I will not live. On the other hand, I may work a lot, reap a lot, eat a lot and have some left over to give away, and some to sell or to store up in order that more work may be done.

It is this possibility of putting more energy to work to produce more fruit that makes an efficient system of economics possible. There are some who cannot work because of sickness, either mental or physical. Their fruit will not sustain them. Therefore, it will be the privilege of those who can and do produce more than they need to put another Bible precept into practice: “Happy is he who is kind to the poor,” (Proverbs 14:21) and also, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35) There is no law involved here—no law voted in by men, that is. But shall we call it a higher principle? It is the principle which says, “Do this, if you wish, and you will receive the reward that goes with it.” This is much stronger than man-made laws which say, “Do this or else.”

Now look at our shining jewel. It is a valuable one because it teaches valuable lessons in economics, and they are principles, by the way, which have stood the test of time.

First of all, it utterly outshines the socialistic imitation which says, “The state shall take the fruit of your labor and administer it equally to all men.” It outshines it because of one important element. It is the element of happiness which is missing in all socialistic paste imitations. In every one of the verses cited in this study, happiness is the result. And I am not referring to the emotion that comes from having your physical needs met. This is satisfaction for the moment, but happiness is deeper and more valuable. It comes as a result of freedom. Here’s how it works. If I am free to work as much as I please, to reap as much as I please, to dispense with my fruit as I please, to enjoy the fruit of my own labors, to give to my neighbor in want, then I will enjoy the result: a happy life.

A happy life, then, will be a giving life. This meets the needs of my unfortunate neighbor and makes my own life overflow with the warm kind of joy that is the product of such giving. Will you pardon me if I cannot become enthusiastic over socialistic programs that involve compulsory “giving” in the form of high taxes to pressure groups that never fully meet the wants of those who cry for help? Thank you, but I have found a better plan.

This plan, which I learn from King David, and believe to be God’s plan, is vibrant with the heart-warming values of the good life He is trying to teach. Of course, I have to fight greed and selfishness, but that puts iron in the soul and makes life worth the living when we taste a bit of victory now and then. May I look for the injured traveler along life’s road. May I stop, bind up his wounds, care for his needs, and pay the bill out of the surplus I have been able to accumulate as the result of the labor of my own hands. Then only will I feel the glow of satisfaction that results from learning God’s lessons in economics which form for me a pattern of life that gives me an incentive to labor that much the harder. {eoa}

The Fourth Blood Moon Was Anti-Climatic … or Was It?

On Sunday night, we saw something take place that only happens four or five times a century. A lunar eclipse occurred while the moon is making its closest approach to our planet. When it happened, the moon temporarily appeared to be red as sunrises and sunsets all over the world are reflected off the surface of the moon.

This blood red “supermoon” has created apocalyptic fears all over the globe, and many people have stocked up on enormous amounts of food and supplies in anticipation of this event. This particular blood moon is the fourth in a series of blood moons that have fallen on Biblical festival days in 2014 and 2015, and this one will be clearly visible from the city of Jerusalem.

What we do know is that there has not been a “super blood moon” since 1982, and there will not be another one until 2033. The following is what The Telegraph expected we would see on Sunday night:

Amateur astronomers will be given a rare chance to capture a spectacular celestial event that has not occurred for 30 years tonight—a lunar eclipse with the moon near to its closest point to the Earth.

An awe-inspiring blood-red “supermoon” will cast its eerie light on the Earth early on Monday, creating an atmosphere of wonder and fear across the world.

When the moon is at “perigee”, its shortest distance from the Earth, it is 226,000 miles away and appears 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than when it is at its furthermost point.

The last time this coincided with a lunar eclipse, when the moon is covered by the Earth’s shadow, was in 1982 and the event will not be repeated until 2033.

I do not know of any specific event that either will or will not happen over the next couple of days.

But a lot of people out there are freaking out about this “super blood moon” as if the end of the world is coming. For instance, the Mormon hierarchy has issued a statement in an attempt to calm down some of the apocalyptic speculation that is taking place among their members:

A rare lunar eclipse set to happen this weekend has prompted the Mormon church to issue a statement to followers warning them not to worry about apocalyptic speculation that is running high.

The church cautioned followers to not get caught up in speculation about a major calamity. It’s unclear how many Mormons buy the theory, but leaders were worried enough that they took the rare step of issuing the statement.

Sunday night’s “blood moon” has led to a rise in sales at emergency preparedness retailers.

Of course it isn’t just Mormons that are freaking out.

I recently had lunch with one of the owners of one of the largest emergency food companies in America. He says that they have had to go to three shifts a day, seven days a week just to keep up with demand. And even with the increased production, there is a significant delay in getting orders out to customers.

Millions of people seem to have a sense that something ominous is coming. And without a doubt, we have already seen some extraordinary things happen over the past 60 days. The stock markets of the 10 largest global economies are all crashing, volcanic eruptions and major earthquakes are happening at a rate far higher than usual, and absolutely crazy things are taking place at the United Nations.

So will any specific event happen in conjunction with this “super blood moon”?

I do not know.

But I do believe that this “super blood moon” is significant.

I do believe that it is yet another warning. But just like so many of the other warnings that we have seen, it too will be ignored by most people and quickly forgotten.

I think that what Pastor Mark Biltz recently told WND about this “super blood moon” is very wise:

Pastor Mark Biltz, discoverer of the blood moons phenomenon and the author of Blood Moons: Decoding the Imminent Heavenly Signs, says Christians are being given signs from the heavens.

In Biltz’s opinion, the current sequence of four blood moons—a tetrad—”is a sign for today’s Christians as judgment always begins in the house of God.”

“I believe the current blood moons also signal the end of an era,” he said.

Like Pastor Biltz, I believe that we have come to the end of an era.

For so long, people have been mocking the idea that judgment is coming to America, not realizing that it is only because of God’s grace that we have been given so much time to repent.

Now, I believe that the period of grace is coming to an end and a time of judgment is beginning.

So what do you think?

Do you believe that this “super blood moon” has any significance?

Do you believe that America is entering a time of judgment?

How Prophecy Is Igniting a Trail of Hope Across This Landmark State

A faith-filled movement rumored to have been prophesied by Corrie ten Boom is igniting revival and inspiring hope across Arkansas.

“Corrie ten Boom is said to have been flying over Arkansas when she looked down and asked where they were,” says apostle Clay Nash. ” … I see a great move of God coming over there and affecting the nation.”

And so Nash and other leaders are following the Holy Spirit from “Hope to higher ground.” Other prophets, including Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets, have been involved in the movement as well.

The Trail of Hope is a 12-month traveling revival. The ToH team is going from one point of Arkansas to another, witnessing healings and miracles at each location.

In Mount Magazine, for example, someone received a prophetic word about an increase in angelic activity, releasing angels to find things that have been lost.

For Nash’s ministry, a set of blueprints missing for 11 years was suddenly found in a storage closet. Another young man lost his wallet at a fair, but later he found it under a pile of his clothes.

With each prophetic word, Nash says the gathered are careful to judge and implement them. In Mount Magazine, a word was given comparing evangelists to timber cruisers, that is, people who scout a forest to determine how to proceed.

“God spoke in Mount Magazine, anointing people there to become timber cruisers to mark those ready for harvest, because we believe a great harvest is coming.”

While Arkansas is currently the only state in which Nash and his ministry are operating, he expects them to travel around the Southeast in the future. Next April, he wants to start a Trail in Mississippi and is also looking at Tennessee.

Since the start of the Trail, the spiritual climate of Arkansas has gone from hot to very hot.

“There is hunger, movement, more signs and wonders and moving of the Spirit as a result of [the Trail of Hope],” Nash says. “We hope other leaders across the nation will pick up on it and move in. But we feel every one of [the Trails] needs to be designed for that state culture.”

As for Arkansas, Nash is forging ahead.

Nash says at each city, they will gather rocks to deposit in the next location, emulating Joshua 24:27: “Joshua said to all the people, ‘See, this stone will be a witness for us, for it has heard all the words of the Lord that He spoke to us. It will be a witness for us, lest you deny your God.'”

And thus is the Trail of Hope.

Failed Prophecy? ‘Doomsday Asteroid’ Whizzes by Earth

An asteroid whizzed past Earth recently, but the celestial object did not escape notice of skywatchers.

Combined with the fourth blood moon and prophecies about the skies aligning in the end times, the Asteroid Watch Twitter account tried to appease the fears of the concerned:

“Asteroid 2012 TT5 will safely pass Earth tomorrow by about 5 million miles/8 million km or 21.5 LD (lunar distances). It poses no threat,” according to the tweet. The specific asteroid referenced passed by without incident on Sept. 24.

The date is merely one day after the close of the 2015 Shemitah, the Sabbath year in the seven-year biblical cycle.

A chart posted by the organization reveals upcoming asteroids will sail by the earth at much closer distances on Sept. 29-30, and Oct. 1-3.

Despite the government organization’s reports, photos surfaced revealing a light illuminating the sky.

Asteroid Watch insists the object is a star, and maintains asteroids are not a threat.

In combination with recent blood moon, though, some are wondering if the alignment matches biblical prophecy.

The blood moon, or total lunar eclipse, had millions across the globe seeing red on Sept. 27/28.

According to Luke 21:25, “There will be signs in the sun and the moon and the stars; and on earth distress of nations, with perplexity the sea and waves roaring.”

In Joel 2:31: “The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood.”

This particular blood moon is the fourth in a series falling within the calendar of Jewish festivals.
